A free San Francisco City Guides walk through Fort Mason’s historic district, from its days as a military post and World War II port of embarkation to its life today as an arts center. The route takes in Gas House Cove, bay and Golden Gate Bridge views, Mission Revival architecture and the area that sheltered 1906 earthquake survivors. Good for history buffs and visitors; donations are welcome and you can reserve a space.
