Questions People Ask About Kid-Friendly Brunch in San Francisco, by Neighborhood

Where can you get brunch in San Francisco with kids without a two-hour wait?

Go before 9:30am, pick a counter-service or patio place, and avoid the handful of famous brunch rooms entirely. Bakery counters in Noe Valley and the Inner Sunset, and taquerias anywhere in the Mission, will feed a family quickly and cheaply.

Do San Francisco brunch spots take reservations?

Many of the best-known ones do not, which is why the lines form. If a place takes bookings, take the earliest slot you can; if it does not, treat 9am as the real opening time.

What is brunch likely to cost?

Roughly twenty to thirty dollars a person at a sit-down restaurant, and under twelve at a bakery or taqueria. Coffee here is rarely under five dollars.

Are San Francisco restaurants child friendly?

Most casual places are, especially at brunch and early dinner. High chairs are common but not universal, and the tightest spaces are the cash-only takeout counters, which have no seating at all.
