About Castro
The Castro centers on Castro Street between Market and 19th streets, with Harvey Milk Plaza at the Castro and Market corner. It is one of the best-known LGBTQ neighborhoods in the world, and its street fairs and block parties are some of the city's friendliest.
Above it on Corona Heights is the Randall Museum, a free city-run science and nature museum with live animals and hands-on exhibits for kids.
