For one night, the Alliance Française de San Francisco and the Francophone Museum of San Francisco turn their space into a 1920s speakeasy. Expect live jazz from Charles Unger Experience and La Gauloise All Stars, a Charleston swing lesson, casino games, Prohibition-era cocktails and wines, and a Francophone buffet.
A short talk on Prohibition in the Bay Area comes from historian Rebecca Yerger. Come in flapper or Jazz Age dress. Tickets are $60 general or $50 for AFSF members, in advance only; $80 at the door. Ticket holders get a secret password and entry instructions.
