The Lunar New Year Flower Fair fills a stretch of Grant Avenue in Chinatown with flower stalls and food and gift booths in the days before the new year. Buying flowers for the home before the holiday is a long-standing Lunar New Year custom, and the fair is where many San Franciscans do it. The 2027 dates are not announced yet; we check weekly and will post them here.
When Is the Flower Fair?
| Year | Date and time | Where |
|---|---|---|
| 2026 | Saturday–Sunday, February 14–15, 10am–6pm | Grant Avenue between Clay and Broadway |
| 2027 | Not yet announced | We check the organizers’ page weekly and add it here |
The fair is the weekend before Lunar New Year. Lunar New Year 2027 falls on Saturday, February 6, 2027, so by that pattern the fair would be January 30–31, 2027. That is our reading of the pattern, not an announcement: wait for the organizers’ confirmation before you plan around it.

- More than 120 booths and concessions along the street.
- Performances. The 2026 listing names traditional Chinese magicians, acrobats, folk dancers and opera.
Going with Children

Getting There
The 2026 listing points visitors from the Ferry Building to the 1 California Muni at Clay and Drumm, and also names the 1 California at Van Ness and Sacramento and the California Street cable car at Van Ness and California. Golden Gate Transit routes 101, 130 and 150 are listed for visitors from Marin. The Central Subway’s Chinatown–Rose Pak station is also a short walk away. Chinatown parking is limited, so Muni is the easier way in. See Muni vs BART vs cable car.
