Self-taught ceramic artist Tasha Colby gives a free talk at RedBrick Ceramic Studio, a members’ studio on the third floor of 2111 Mission Street, on Sunday, November 22 from 2pm to 4pm. Under the title What the Earth Remembers, she talks about taking part in a craft that is thousands of years old and how working with clay ties people to the past, the earth and each other. A ceramic demonstration follows – guests watch and ask questions rather than work the clay themselves.
It is free and open to everyone, with light refreshments, and suits experienced potters, beginners and the simply curious. Registration is through the studio’s Eventbrite page.
