A long gallery room with work hung on both walls

The gallery that bet on Chinatown rather than the Financial District, and the one most likely to have shown an artist before a museum does. Strong on Bay Area figures with national careers — Lava Thomas, Sadie Barnette, Woody De Othello.

Street level and bright, so a short visit with children works, though the staff are not set up for them and the sculpture is often fragile. Tuesday to Saturday 10am–6pm, closed Sunday and Monday.
