Syd Mead (1933–2019) called himself a visual futurist, and his designs shaped how films including Blade Runner, TRON and Aliens pictured the years ahead. Future Pastime brings his paintings to the Transamerica Pyramid’s Annex Gallery, curated by Elon Solo and William Corman with an exhibition design by MAD Architects. The exhibition opens on Thursday, October 8 at 6pm, then runs Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 6pm, through December 17. No admission price is published for this exhibition — ask at the gallery when you arrive.
