Fifty years old and still genuinely artist-run: a big Mission warehouse gallery that also hands out grants funding other people’s projects. Group shows of emerging Bay Area artists, often installation-heavy and unpolished in the way that makes them worth seeing.
Large open room, work is often sculptural and odd, and children respond to it. Nothing is screened for young audiences, so check what is on. The gallery describes its own hours as typically Tuesday to Saturday noon–6pm, so ring ahead.
