Thick, focaccia-style square slices since 1978, a North Beach rite of passage. Carry a few slices a block over to Washington Square for an easy picnic.
Sunday hours: we do not publish them, on purpose. The restaurant’s own North Beach page prints Sunday as “11:30PM – 9:00PM”, which cannot be right, and it publishes no other Sunday time — so we leave Sunday blank rather than guess, and it is worth calling (415) 982-9738 before you go. The rest of the week is straightforward: 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, takeout only (checked October 14, 2026).
