San Francisco’s legendary free music festival fills Golden Gate Park’s western meadows with bluegrass, folk, country and roots music on multiple stages. Families bring blankets and wagons and make a day of it Entrances open at 11am on Friday and 9am on Saturday and Sunday, and music ends at 7pm each day; the festival publishes set times on 23 September.
Correction, 17 September 2026: this listing previously gave the hours as Friday 1–7pm and Saturday–Sunday 11am–7pm. The festival’s 2026 FAQ gives entrance times of 11am Friday and 9am Saturday and Sunday, with performances ending at 7pm daily, and has not yet published start times for the music.
