The San Francisco Public Library’s West Portal branch, on Lenox Way across from West Portal Playground. Its shelves cover children’s, teen and adult reading levels.
The branch runs a Boys’ Book Club and a Girls’ Book Club for ages 9 to 12, each attended with a favorite adult, on Thursday evenings from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. (the boys on the first Thursday of the month, the girls usually on the last). It is open seven days a week, until 8 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday.
