Hayes Valley’s merchants turn Friday afternoon into a neighborhood Halloween night. From 4 to 6pm, kids in costume follow the ghost window clings to collect treats from local shops, while Hayes Promenade has glowing sculptures, face painting, live music and bubbles. After a 6 to 7pm dinner break, PROXY screens Minions & Monsters outdoors from 7:30 to 9pm, with blanket spots open from 7pm.
The trail, promenade activities and film are free and open to all. A separate 21+ “Entertainment Zone” runs 4 to 10pm at participating bars and restaurants.
