The Fleet Week Air Show is free to watch. SF Fleet Week says it flies between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, with its center at the Marina Green. The Parade of Ships can be seen from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Bridge, and its reviewing stand is also at the Marina Green.
The 2027 dates are not announced yet. Everything below comes from the 2026 Fleet Week pages and SFMTA’s 2026 record, and says so.
Read on fleetweeksf.org and sfmta.com on 3 November 2026. The newest dates on those pages are Fleet Week 2026 (October 4 to 12; Air Show October 9 to 11). The 2027 dates are not published.
Where You Can Watch
- FreeMarina Green
SF Fleet Week calls the Marina Green the heart of the Air Show, home of the Marina Green Festival Center, and the site of the Parade of Ships reviewing stand. General admission is free.
- FreeThe Waterfront From the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Bridge
SF Fleet Week says the Parade of Ships can be seen along this whole stretch. The San Francisco Fire Department fireboat leads it, spraying water.
- FreeFisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39
SFMTA’s 2026 page listed Fisherman’s Wharf as a Fleet Week destination and ran F streetcars to Pier 39. Ships were docked at various piers and open for visits from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Not confirmed for 2027.
- FreeThe Presidio
SFMTA’s 2026 page listed the Presidio as a destination and pointed to the Presidio’s own ‘Know Before You Go’ page. We did not read that page.
- PaidHospitality and Chalets
SF Fleet Week mentions paid VIP hospitality and corporate chalets run by the Air Show organizers. We list no prices and link no sales pages.
Stay Safe by The Water
- SF Fleet Week asks you to be careful near beaches and waterfronts, keep pets on a leash, stay off rocks near the shore, and not swim after anyone swept into the sea. Call 911 and keep watching until help arrives.
- On a boat, its rules include staying 500 yards from any U.S. Navy vessel during the Parade of Ships, and outside the Air Show Box until the show ends.
Step-Free and Muni Notes
At The Air Show and Parade
- Could Not Confirm: accessible viewing areas at the Marina Green. The Fleet Week pages we read do not describe them.
- Could Not Confirm: accessible restrooms or drop-off points. Not stated on the pages we read.
- SFMTA tagged its 2026 Fleet Week page for accessibility, but the text we read gave no accessible-boarding details for the extra F-line buses.
Muni Metro and BART, Step-Free
- Muni Metro underground stations are reached by elevators from street to concourse and concourse to platform (SFMTA).
- Every BART station has accessible elevators and wider fare gates, and each train car has a wheelchair area (BART).
- Cable cars are not equipped with accessible boarding (SFMTA).
- Could Not Confirm: boarding on Muni buses and historic streetcars. The SFMTA pages we read did not say. Our access page lists what we did read.
- Check Muni Metro elevator status before you leave. If one is out, tell a station agent or call 311.
Getting There, From SFMTA’s 2026 Record
SF Fleet Week asks visitors to ride public transit because parking and traffic are congested. SFMTA’s 2026 page listed these routes: for the Presidio, 28, 29, 30, 43 and 45. For the Marina, 22, 28, 30, 43 and 49. For Fisherman’s Wharf, the F Market & Wharves, 8, 19, 28, 30, 39 and 49, plus the Powell/Mason and Powell/Hyde cable cars. On Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. the F streetcars turned back at Pier 39, and extra F buses ran from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday to Sunday. Cable cars had partial bus substitution. These are 2026 service details; check SFMTA before the 2027 event.
What We Could Not Confirm
- The 2027 Fleet Week and Air Show dates and hours. SF Fleet Week’s site was still showing 2026 on the day we read it.
- Where the best free views are. SF Fleet Week names the Marina Green and the waterfront but does not rank spots, and we do not either.
- Accessible viewing areas and accessible transit details for the Air Show. See the note above.
- 2027 Muni service changes. The routes above are from 2026.
- Ship tour times and which ships dock where. Those change each year and we read none for 2027.
