Pride Parade Viewing Spots: Market Street, Grandstands and Step-Free Areas

Where to watch the San Francisco Pride Parade: Market Street, the Civic Center grandstands, accessible viewing and BART and Muni, from SF Pride's pages.

The San Francisco Pride Parade runs along Market Street, and the route is 1.6 miles from Beale Street to Civic Center Plaza, according to SF Pride’s own page for the 2026 parade. Standing is free. The only ticketed viewing is the grandstand near Civic Center.

Pride 2027 is announced for June 26 and 27. SF Pride has not published the 2027 route or start time yet, so the route and times below are the 2026 ones.

Read on sfpride.org on 3 November 2026. The page’s route, grandstand and accessibility text is for the 2026 parade (Sunday, June 28, 2026) and is labeled 2026 wherever we use it.

Where You Can Watch

  • FreeMarket Street Sidewalks

The 2026 route went directly along Market Street. SF Pride says popular spots fill up fast and suggests arriving one to two hours before the start.

  • TicketedMain Grandstands Near Civic Center

On Market Street near Civic Center, beside the panel of Pride judges who give out ribbons as contingents pass. SF Pride says it has bleacher seating, live narration, judging from 9:30 a.m. and dedicated restrooms.

  • FreeAccessible Viewing Areas

SF Pride says accessible viewing platforms and bleachers are placed along the parade route. Wheelchair users and guests bringing their own seating get unobstructed viewing at no cost for the user and one guest; the guest gets a folding chair.

  • FreeThe Civic Center Celebration

The street fair at Civic Center Plaza follows the parade. Its main stage has an accessible viewing area with first-come, first-served seating and ASL interpretation.

  • Not confirmedBest Free Corner

We found no official statement of which free block gives the best view, so we name none. The judges and grandstands are at the Civic Center end.

Step-Free and Muni Notes

At The Parade, Per SF Pride

  • Ticket holders who are deaf or hard of hearing can check the ASL box at checkout to reserve bleacher space with a clear view of the interpreters.
  • Information Booth at Fulton and Larkin: wristbands for accessible areas, help from accessibility volunteers.
  • Contact the Accessibility Coordinator listed on SF Pride’s accessibility page for accommodations.
  • Could Not Confirm: 2027 platform locations. SF Pride’s 2026 page does not give block-by-block spots for them.

Muni Metro and BART, Step-Free

  • Muni Metro underground stations are reached by elevators from street to concourse and concourse to platform (SFMTA).
  • Every BART station has accessible elevators and wider fare gates, and each train car has a wheelchair area (BART).
  • Cable cars are not equipped with accessible boarding (SFMTA).
  • Could Not Confirm: boarding on Muni buses and historic streetcars. The SFMTA pages we read did not say. Our access page lists what we did read.
  • Check Muni Metro elevator status before you leave. If one is out, tell a station agent or call 311.

Getting There

SF Pride strongly encourages transit and says more than 500,000 people attend Pride weekend, which is its own number and we have not confirmed it. It names BART Civic Center/UN Plaza as the best option, one block from the Celebration, and says all downtown BART stations reach the route. It lists Muni routes 5, 6, 7, 9, 19, 21, 47, 49 and the F Market streetcar, which runs along the parade route. Caltrain riders switch at 4th and King. SF Pride says Market Street from Embarcadero to Civic Center is closed on parade Sunday along with many cross streets.

If you must drive, SF Pride suggests parking in an outer neighborhood and riding in, being dropped off several blocks away, or arriving before 9 a.m. Our parking page has SFMTA’s rules.

What We Could Not Confirm

  • The 2027 parade day, start time, route and grandstand prices. SF Pride lists the 57th parade and celebration for June 26 and 27, 2027, and its page still shows 2026 details. Which of the two days is the parade is not stated for 2027.
  • Grandstand ticket prices and seat counts. The pages we read show no prices.
  • SFMTA service changes for Pride weekend 2027. We found no SFMTA page for the 2026 Pride parade, and none for 2027.
  • Which Muni stops near Market Street are step-free for the F streetcar. See the Muni note above.
