YBG Dance Day

The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival turns the lawn over to dance for a full day, mixing performances by Bay Area companies with drop-in classes anyone can join. Free drop-in classes include Tropicali Dancehall, Bachata, Soul Line Dance and Jazz Funk, with performances on the Great Lawn by groups including Theater Flamenco; the festival asks for a free RSVP. Everything is outdoors and free.

Correction, 8 October 2026: this listing said the styles were hip-hop, West African, salsa and contemporary. The festival’s published 2026 schedule lists dancehall, bachata, soul line dance and jazz funk classes, with flamenco among the performances.
